I'm going away!
Sep. 18th, 2008 04:20 pmreally soon.
I just have to organise my clothes, Roses clothes, food to eat and other entertainment.
MrPeacock is coming too and I was amused that when I rang him this arvo he hadn't packed yet either - he was in a bookshop making sure he had something to read for the weekend. I did my book shopping about an hour earlier.
We still haven't been shopping for food, but we seem to have our priorities straight.
We're off to Port Campbell, just near the sea and I'm looking forward to showing GEX some lovely Australian scenery. And seeing it with my family - I haven't been near there for at least 20 years, and possibly not since my parents took me there.
Unfortunately, the back injury I did on tuesday isn't nearly as better as would be ideal before a 3 hour car trip tonight. I'm under instruction from the physio to drive in half hour bursts, and "more often would be better". OTOH I'll get plenty of time walking and not sitting while I'm there. Must remember to pack the wheat bag.
I've had a nice day today though. I've worked enough to know that my colleague is well on the way to finish my project of doom by the time I get back on Monday, but I haven't actually achieved anything myself. I love working from home.
