I've tried three times to write something profound about your comment, since it's struck something in me... it just must have been the incoherent verbal diarrhoea switch.

But, I second what mrsbrown says about the blog being the intimate/internal monologue that a well-written letter to your friends wouldn't. It may be that a person sees themselves as being bigger and more aggressive than what they are in the real world, or that they have a greater sense of self-importance than what the average person would think.
