Mar. 21st, 2005 07:47 pmThe kids have finally worked out that I'm not going to make them stuff and we leave for festival today (all going well) so now they're frantically sewing the things on their own personal lists of must-haves. It means I can't get into the kitchen to pack the cooking gear and food, but who am I to get in the way of festival sewing (finally!)
I'm trying a new regime today. I'm eating only a mouthful, instead of a tablespoon, of food, surviving the slightly smaller amount of pain and then eating again when I get the hunger pain about 20min later. Blergh.
I've just tried to collect together my clothes for festival (harder than it seems, my bedroom has been neglected for more than the three weeks I've been ill) and I can report that bending and exercise also make my tummy hurt/ me feel sick. Also, I can only find one of my veils. A good thing I'll have plenty of time for handsewing I guess.
LATER
The Gastro thinks I just have too much acid, I've had my anti acid nerve drug doubled and I have instructions to "overdose on Gaviscon" If I'm not better in a week (when I get back from Festival) I need to go to my doc and this guy is probably happy to give me a gastroscopy to find out what's going on.
Of course, the Festival packing is now done, there's no way I can sew a tent, I've gotten positive, understanding news from the gastro, so I have been able to (mostly) eat dinner.
J just needs to pack his clothes and have a shower and we will be on the road! Only 3 hours later than planned - great going!!!
