computer work
Aug. 16th, 2005 10:06 pmToday I gave up on G's disk. It was defragged last night and had errors on it. I don't think I want to risk a dodgy HD on my webserver. He can keep it.
Did the whole process over again with MY hard disk. It's 40G too and I'm sure I'll find a use for 120G of space in my days of endless email and flist checking.
tonight's problem, enunciated before I give up and go to bed, is that the partition size I have made in Knoppix is 117G (close enough) but when I boot into Windows, it thinks the disk is only 36G - too small! Grrrr!
Tomorrow night, I may reinstall windows over my current install and see if that helps. Also, when
mr_bassman gets home from playing scrabble with
mordwen and
drjon, he may have an idea.
In other news, I now have a piece of elastic to wear to hold my pelvis together. Much better, I don't have to gasp in pain every time I stand up now.
