One free weekend before Festival down, one to go and I've been on the go the whole time, but I'm not sure I got much done;

We did get rid of a bunch of beds that have been hanging around at my place, they're at my Mum's new apartment.

We also have half a set of built in wardrobes built - bought seconds from IKEA and bodged together, so we paid $140 instead of $500 for the same thing.  That meant two IKEA visit's this weekend, and I think I know where the time went...

I also worked out how to save $120/month - but I had to invest $140 and a bunch of time (see above) and [livejournal.com profile] mr_bassman will have to do more work tomorrow and Tuesday, so I hope that not too many people come over to armour and distract him.

MsNotaGoth's desk is now in position too.  She's even done some homework at it!

And I even socialised!  I sewed one whole cringle on the new dining tent, and others sewed 2 others.  Eight to go!

But I didn't do the work I was going to do, to make up for "working at home" on Wednesday, compounded by having to go to the hospital with Sneetch on Friday arvo (for a broken little finger, he's fine).  I should just remember, everytime -  I don't have the time to work any time but during work hours, and I'm kidding myself if I think I can.

I was also reminded that I have two children at school and Sundays are no longer a good time to relax and reflect on the weekend's achievements.  This evening, at 9.30pm on SUNDAY!!!!  they both competed for my attention - wanting help with their English homework. Amusingly, one's writing a Greek fable and the other's writing a fable about the beginning of language.  And neither of them realise that their mother managed to scrape through high school english, culminating in a beautiful 52% as her final year twelve english mark.  It's not that I can't write (see?) it's that I can't couldn't manage the crap required to pass - why should that have changed?

Here are the honey doo's for the week;

clean the Ford and take photo's for advertising ASAP (want to buy a 1992 Ford Falcon?)
Make shelves for the big built in.
Empty storage container and cancel our booking
Find paperwork for the tax return
organise the kindermusic booking

The dishwasher died.

My children have decided that they'd rather wash dishes by hand than miss Festival, so I'm not buying another anytime soon.

Actually, I sort of promised myself a new kitchen before a new dishwasher, so maybe not until Spring.
