Is she trying to tell me something?
Mar. 27th, 2004 11:29 amMy mum spent the night at my place last night. I can tell she'd love to be here more often but is being very careful not to overdo it.
I got up early, to spend time over breakfast and a cup of tea. She told me all about her friends who are doing weightwatchers and have lost heaps of weight. She also told me about the vegetable soups she's ben making lately and how nutritious and easy they are. As a bonus, "you lose weight if you eat them instead of dinner."
Later, we went to the market, more good chatting with Mum time. I mentioned that I limit how much money I spend, because it means I don't end up with a fridge full of rotten vegetables. Then it was, "I work out what to cook based on what I have to use from the fridge" (well, durggh!), and "If I can't eat the veggies in my fridge, I make soup! It's very nutritious, and low fat."
btw Have you noticed a correlation between negative, depressed posts and the number of comments you receive? I have. does that mean that to "make it" on LJ you need to be really down?
