On the weekend before last Max smelled disgusting! I cleaned the pus I could find with salty water but couldn't find the hole it was coming from. I couldn't even find a lump to squeeze.
I took him to the vet and she found a disguting pus-y thing in his ear canal and operated on him the next day. He's been on antibiotics ever since and yesterday was declared much better, but the bacteria was a nasty resistant one, so we got some more antibiotics.
Max has been eating really well and hanging around home a lot more. I think its the raw meat I've been giving him as our contribution to avoiding over-fishing. He hassles me to feed him and gulps it down within 10 minutes.
Except that this morning we found a vomited gob of raw meat, and what I can only think is the largest bout of diarrhoea that you can imagine coming out of a cat. What I really want to know, is how the corn kernels got in it. Luckily it was solid enough to get off the carpet reasonable easily.
I'm a bit suspicious of the meat, unfortunately I'd already given him breakfast before I found it.
