Ennui is a good word
Jan. 7th, 2006 09:28 pmI'm lying on the couch, with a small child (baby) asleep on my chest. I'm watching Groundhog Day and I've eaten 2 bowls of plum pudding with brandy and cream.
I'd really like to be sewing, but I'm overwhelmed by the sewing projects I'm part way through, that I should finish before I start something else, and the crap on the sewing machine too. The baby asleep on my chest doesn't help either.
Maybe I'll get it done tomorrow.

Date: 2006-01-07 12:13 pm (UTC)To me it sounds more like the restful picture of someone pausing to relax amidst the fruits of her labour, (no pun intended, (much)). You deserve a bit of time to just be relaxed and non-productive for a while.
It'll all get hectic again soon enough.
