Or at least I have the hearing of someone under 20.

Are you young too? Play this noise. If you can hear it, you've got young hearing.

Apparently teenagers are using it as a ringtone. The teachers (supposedly) can't hear it.

I'm tempted to use it - it would be great in meetings at work. If anyone can hear it I can congratulate them on their hearing and they won't mind my phone interrupting the meeting. (I wish)

I can hear it, but wish I couldn't...

When I was in first year uni, we had some big lecture theaters with TVs on the walls (presumably for showing videos, though I can't remember us ever using them). When in standby, which was 99% of the time, they made a very similar god-awful high-pitched noise that the lecturers couldn't hear. It got to the point where I'd go in early and switch them all off at the wall.

I can hear it. It sounds like electricity. Kind of like when you walk into a room that has the television switched on, but the volume down and you wouldn't know the tv was on except for that noise. My mum never heard it.

Hey, I've just read the above post, maybe it's the noise tv's make when they're in stealth mode?

I can hear it and my hearing is certainly nothing special; nor have I been a teenager for as many years as the final age of teenaged-hood.

Ouch. Sounds like one of those dog whistle things.... not that I can hear those, I'm not a dog, but this is how I'd imagine a dog whistle would sound like. Maybe it's a teenager whistle. Except, I'm not one of those either.

I'm just old and confused, but at least I have good hearing!

I can hear it too, I think it is a little lower than the noise TV screens make that also drives me up the wall. P could hear it too, but my work mate couldn't hear it, and she is younger than me.

Now that's really odd. I can't hear anything, and I can usually hear computer monitors and TVs.

Nope, can't hear it at all. Of course, I do have a fair amount of scar tissue on my eardrums & a subsequent hearing loss, so that's not surprising.

Generally if somebody's phone rings in class, everyone turns & looks at them & they quickly turn it off- sometimes peer pressure is a force for good, not evil!
