found this in my editor from a few weeks ago:
A collection of links to images of kitchens. This is by way of spurring people to start taling and making their viewpoints known so we can start the design process. Come on!

Today
mr_bassman and I went to the Slow Food festival at the Abbotsford Convent. Here is a list of the stuff I want you and me to know about and/or remember.
Next time I'll go prepared to go for lunch and make sure I have enough money to pay for all the food I'd like to buy.
The convent space called Rosina has a laarge commercial kitchen (the exhaust hood is about 6m long), two halls and a small cloister like grass area between the two halls available for hire. One of the halls in Rosina has a chipboard floor and is not beautifully finished. It has a door to a small, flat grass space which might be suitable for fighter training. The cloister space has a small amount of grass - about 6mx12m, with 3m deep verandah all around. The cloister has a hall on each long side.
The Steiner school is now occupying "St Mary's" and we already have a relationship with them - maybe we could do something in that space.
There's another hall adjacent to the main cloister (not Rosina). We didn't look in there but the grass in the main cloister is about 20mx20m.
I've put my name down for someone to contact me about hiring spaces at the convent. But it might be expensive and we might have to use their caterers
The slow food people will have their first farmer's market at the end of October. They'll be having them on the 4th sunday of the month. It would be _really_ cool if we could organise fighter practise there, or a pickup tourney, or something! Maybe we could do something food related and interactive - pies?
The Mercator space now houses a glass blowing studio and gallery. It is available for people to hire and they offer beginners classes for about $500. Classes are on Thursdays over 4 weeks.
There's a nice bakery/coffee shop on site now. This will only become more useful as Rose gets older and we spend more time at the Collingwood Children's Farm
The yummy smoked eel from the Ark is available from Richmond Oysters (437 -443 Church St Richmond).
