I succumbed and decided to go to November Crown by plane 'cos Jetstar flights were $59 to Launceston.

Today they rang me to tell me that the flight times I had booked don't exist anymore so now I'm going to have to leave work early on Friday to catch the 5.15 flight, instead of the 8.50pm flight. grrr.

I won't get as much tourist time either. My 10.20pm flight on Tuesday has become a 6.45pm flight instead.

I think I'm going to change the friday flight to a sparrow fart flight and spend Friday being a tourist on my way to Port Sorell instead of working. Of course the kids will have to take a day off school too, but oh well.

I paid extra to have flights at those times, I'm thinking I should ask for a refund.

A friend of mine flew to Cairns recently with Jetstar, and initially chose between a 6pm flight and an 11:30 flight. She chose the earlier one, even though it cost more, and then a few weeks later they told her that flight was no longer available so she had to catch the 11:30 one anyway... but they charged her the same price! Unfortunately she had to chuck a massive wobbly with them before they even vaguely considered reducing the cost of her flight to the same as the originally advertised price of the 11:30 flight.

Yes it's bad that she had to chuck a wobbly, but good because I know it can be done!

I say ask for a refund too.

Athol and I are getting in around 10:30 or 11 am on the friday, and have a car, and are likely going to be doing the touristy thing too. We should all tourist!

Rang and changed flights to arrive at 9.25am Friday.

Asked for refund and got fobbed to write a letter to Customer relations. Letter is now written.

Rang them back and the first person I spoke to had failed to change my flights, so I made sure they were changed!
