I know it was hot today because I had one of my "not coping with the heat" headaches.

I recognise them coming on. I get hot, particularly in my head, and I start drinking more water. I'm starving hungry so I eat something and then go to bed and have a nap. I get up and notice I'm a little heavy headed. I drink some more and then decide to have some panadol. I sit on the couch feeling awful, drinking more water. I start feeling nauseous so I stop drinking, a little while later I vomit. I lie on the couch feeling hungry and nauseous and knowing that if I eat or drink anything I'll just throw up. In the past I have just survived until I think I can go to bed and sleep it off.

Tonight I tried something different and sent [livejournal.com profile] mr_bassman to get me some chips. I ate them and still felt nauseous, but gradually felt more settled in my stomach. I've eaten lasagne now and, other than feeling sort of droopy and wan, I feel much better.

I hate adjusting to hot weather, I hate getting too hot and it's even worse when you'be got to hold it together to feed a baby or stop her from eating stuff on the floor she shouldn't.

Drakey will sympathise with you. He's growing his hair, so for the first time in his life he's discovering the joys of long hair loose on a hot sweaty neck - and how much cooler it feels when you tie it up!
