Date: 2007-01-29 12:18 pm (UTC)It doens't sound like fun for the women, to be honest.
If they think being friends with someone for 3 years is basically a waste of time (as opposed to a ...courtship, a romance, or a friendship that's worthwhile even if you never go further) they've got some serious problems.
Do you ever get the feeling that nothing has changed, nothing at all?
Same old bullshit as ever.

Date: 2007-01-29 12:51 pm (UTC)And, if you strip away all of that gloss-arama, aren't we just living in the second post-pill generation? The pre-AIDS generation had it all good of course, but we're lead to believe these days that there's nothing either morally wrong or damaging to one's health about a one night stand given appropriate precautions? Has today's quick-fix society morally lobotomised us, with the complicity of what is shown on TV these days(*), to the extent that we will now happily pay $880 (I assume that's inc GST) for a weekend with the "wingman"?
It now occurs to me that I once paid more than that for a weekend for two at a tantric sex workshop, so I'll shut up and get back in my box now.

Well, that'll learn me for LJ-cruising when I should be working, I guess!!
