While telling Mum about how we've decided that one of our new found financial freedoms is affording to travel to Christchurch, she offered us her frequent flyer points.
I may yet regret this* but I've just booked the trip to Christchurch for the 3 of us for the princely sum of $275. I'll book our return flight after Mum's flown to Chile - Saturday or Sunday.
I guess it's ironic that an international jetsetter like my Mum has no wish to use any of the points she's accrued on travel for herself. Oh well, too bad :)
