After Festival I've been moping around the house, waiting for inspiration to arrive. It arrived at 6am and I had to get up to tell you all about it.

Here's the start of the inspiration cascade. I hope I can get most of it done before I get overwhelmed and inspiration disappears to hide under a pillow somewhere and wibble.

I should make a bead necklace for wear at work - I need a nice necklace or two.

For midwinter ball I will wear my Tudor and not make another dress. I need to revamp my corset and make a rope farthingale and hat suitable for wearing with a coronet.

My Mary Magdalene dress, which I have put off finishing for more than a year, should have been done differently. The "trim" around the neckline should be the facing, sewn on so that it's seen on the outside. The dress would be much easier to sew that way, I'm not sure I can modify the one I've already started. But I'm now more confident about using the blue linen I've had sitting in my stash waiting for this day. Hey! Maybe I should spend a fortune on fabric for the sleeves in celebration.

Perhaps we don't need to change the CMS of the Stormhold website. Maybe we just need to spend some time investigating what we need to make it do what we want. It's Drupal, other people must use it as their websites, what have they done with it?
addit: Oooh!! I like this one - http://drupal.org/node/31175

Hey, the Mary Magdalene dress was the basis for the dress I was wearing onthe weekend! http://www.flickr.com/photos/deense/469679959/in/set-72157600113240914/
Just haven't got to the hat yet and didn't make it with a facing neckline bit which I only just noticed looking at your pics... I've also nicknamed it the blue dress of disasters and the sleeves of doom (not the gold sleeves, they're ok).

OMG! That fabric is lovely - but STUPIDLY expensive!!

Now that Stormhold website. You and I need to book a day where we sit down and re do the darn thing. Re-organise how we keep information and make the site friendlier!

I know you've done a lot so far - but I want to do more.

I need to learn how to do clever things with Dupral....

[livejournal.com profile] lurextoga expressed interest in the Stormhold Website too.

What about 26 May, which was booked for SCA stuff anyway and is now, unfortunately, free?

I'd be keen on a decent review of the current system, content and form before we re-do anything (apols - that is a function of having a former life as a web-tutor and a degree in internet/web programming talking, so you can tell me to pull my head in). Also, I think we should look at at least one other CMS option as a point of comparison. There is a whole look, feel and usability issue for me with the SCA webs - and this relates to our branding as well.

I like the Joomla CMS look and feel better than the one we are using, as things currently stand. I have no idea about ease of use in terms of management, compliance with web standards or anything else; was planning to spend a couple of hours talking about it with Rowany webmaster on the weekend to get more data.

May 26 is my birthday so I am not available....but you guys could go ahead if that works.
