I don't take responsibility
Nov. 4th, 2007 01:05 pmI'm not at Bash.
Here's why -
It's raining now, it was raining this morning, and it looks like it will be raining later.
I seriously thought about canceling but I've tried to do that before and the fighters all look at me reproachfully and I worry that I'm letting my normal, "can't be f&cked" attitude get in the way of doing something good.
Thought of the morning; am I tired because I'm tired, or because I'm in the habit of feeling this way and I just need to start doing something interesting and the feeling will go away?
I did feel a bit envious, as I watched the Baron, his guard and MsNotaGoth drive away. I thought seriously about going anyway and had to remind myself that mud and rain, while fun for the toddler involved, are not fun for her parents.
I'll stay home, Rose will have the nap she didn't really get yesterday and I'll read "The Black Moth" and probably fall asleep on the couch. I hope they don't give up and come here.
Here's why -
Forecast for Sunday Rain, locally heavy, easing to showers late in the afternoon. Fresh to strong southeast winds moderating tonight.

Date: 2007-11-04 06:13 am (UTC)I was wondering the same thing. And then, this weekend, I basically caught up, finally, on the sleep deficit, and discovered - and acted on - a desire to do interesting things. So maybe the couch is a good idea.
I'm reading "Venetia" myself. Except that I must dash now and make the pastry for the steak and kidney pies.

Date: 2007-11-04 07:06 am (UTC)Also, can you say (let alone spell) O-V-E-R-C-O-M-M-I-T-T-E-D? You have a toddler, a full time job, 3 kids in their teens, and a Barony. I think that might just be why you're tired. And no doubt tired of responsibility too!
BTW... have you checked your iron levels recently? My mum once told me she thought she was really slacking because she couldn't be bothered doing anything, and it turned out her haemoglobin was only 4. She discovered this when she tried to donate blood and ended up in hospital on the receiving end of a transfusion. After which her fatigue and depression miraculously went away.
Enjoy The Black Moth - I rather love it, tho' it's not my fav.
