I love my RDO!
Feb. 17th, 2004 10:10 amso I started my day at 6.30am, on the basis that if I was awake anyway I would have a better day if I started it well.
It became obvious that t was using classic school stalling tactics (read my current music entry in my previous post for that) until at 8.20 I decided to use my RDO as I had always intended, got dressed, shoved lunch money at the girl and walked her to school.
Today is the best day to be at home, not too hot, not too cold and the sun is shining. I have read all of the school notices at both schools, collected info about a couple of art classes I can go to for free in the evenings ( want to come splozza? - May 3, Intro to painting with colour (the steiner way) and Oct 11, Veiling (G explained it last week- it's layered watercolours I think), checked out T's assertion that the library novel collection at school is crap (it's got some good stuff , but the collection of YA fiction is smaller than my own, I think she's right)
My list of things I want to do: ( I wrote this last night on a piece fo paper, I've been thinking about it since last week, and I might have already put a lot of it into the task list on my pda - I like planning, it's doing I'm not so good at - I usually try to delegate that bit) Any way - The list:
Finish a bit of work and email it in
Buy leather for my kick ass shoes for festival
Organise for G's cello to get fixed (a soccer ball cracked the soundboard grrr)
Go and buy cello music with G (could be hard, G has school until 5pm on Tuesdays)
Do virtuous domestic things around the house ( I haven't decided what, but I did just empty the dishwasher! :) )
Fix mobireader on my pda so I can use it in landscape mode again
Bond with my children afterschool ( have to compete with the tv, I might ban it on the arvo's I'm home)
Establish Tuesday arvo as kids festival sewing time
So there you go - time to get stuck in.
I'll just read LJ and my email first...
