Feeling a bit gloomy this week, which is not surprising - my boss died on Sunday night.

He had a brain tumour and it was expected, but not so soon. Work's really weird and was particularly weird on Monday when we found out. And the funeral tomorrow will be a whole new level of weird.

I find it interesting that each time you are confronted with death, you remember all those other people you grieve for. So I've sighed a lot this week.

Tonight I finally got around to playing with my latest renovation idea. First I had to download (illegally) a copy of the drafting package. Then I installed it. Then I worked out how to use it in French :). After that I could finally put it into the modelling software I use at work and play with the shadows the new buildings will cause in my backyard and work out where/how large to make the windows for the amount of light I want.

*sympathy hug*. I don't know what else to say about your boss. It's pretty horrible. Good luck with the funeral tomorrow.


In other news... that looks like your house in it's current state to me. Explain the reno to me =)

The plan is to replace our existing shed with a bedroom and ensuite. A new shed is to be constructed opposite and the new buildings are to be joined by a carport.

Also, the existing bathroom will become a dining space - see the windows?
