I made a pattern for my new houppelande. I just have to work out how to pattern the sleeve and then I can lay it all out in Autocad before cutting any of my precious fabric.

Here is the sort of houppelande I'm after, including sleeve style;

Of course the hats are too much for me to cope with. I think I'll just make a removable turban on a doughnut instead. Maybe I could find a jewel for the front. And then I'll look for documentation...

There is a clearer view of the sleeve I have in mind on the guy in this picture;

The pattern shape I have in mind is probably full and a bit gathered at the sleeve cap, full at the upper arm and then seriously tapered towards the wrist. This is what I have so far, and I'm wondering if the upper arm should billow more and the curve go in the other direction. Comments?

Or for more "boof" in the upper arm:

I also made an edible mess:

Included in the above picture of a mess is three jars of plum sauce/jam depending on how much it sets.

I thought I'd leave the splodges on the table as a headstart on the breakfast mess. I might even clean them up with my toast, as long as the ants don't get them first.
