aaaaaargh!

She wrote on a form that she was coming today.

Her mother emailed us to make sure we knew she was on her way.

But Sneetch and I were already in bed, preparing to get up at 4.30am, to get to the airport at 5am to pick her up.

So it took until 7.30am to work out that she'll be here tomorrow. After waiting for her for 2 and a half hours.

And paying $20 for parking.

And taking a day off work to recover, which I'll want to do again tomorrow but won't be as able to.

Grrrr.

Oh you have my total sympathy. I went to the airport to meet my brother's 12.20am arrival flight. He'd written that the flight came in on Saturday, 30th. OK, no probs. 12.20am Friday night is Saturday 30th. I waited until 3am until there was no one left coming out the doors before I worked out that he meant Saturday night, Sunday 1st. Grrr. And this after I'd gotten up at 4.30am to pick up my sister from her 5am arrival the Friday morning.

The Saturday night/Sunday morning I got to the airport at midnight again... and discovered that the flight was delayed by 2 hours. I would normally have checked, but I was at my other sister's hen's night (all these arrivals were for her wedding.) So I bought a coffee and sat tight. Then bought another coffee. Four coffees later (they close the coffee shop after the flight arrives as it turns out - there were close to 200 people sitting around buying their coffees - nothing else to do at 2am!) my brother was #4 out the door. Got home at three for the second night running.

We all slept in a lot Sunday morning....
