MAX IS FOUND!!!
Jan. 22nd, 2005 12:14 pmZ went out this morning to so some doorknocking. While suffering from shyness and turning back home, he wished he knew where Max was. As he thought this, he glanced towards the house and spied a small black and white face and paw.
We spent the next 30min trying to get close enough to get him. I tried food, I tried calling and then I tossed a roll-y toy and he played with it for a while, but ran away every time I tried to get closer.
Eventually, I got myself to the toy again, settled myself down and played with it until he couldn't stand watching any longer and pounced on it. I snatched at him, he snarled and scratched, but I caught him. He seemed really wild, but ten minutes later, inside the house, he let me pick him up and sat on my lap for five minutes while I patted him.
He's now going wild around the house, we can't get near him, he's jumping from thing to thing and running up and down the hallway. I guess that's standard kitten behaviour and we haven't seen it very much because he's had the 'flu.
On Friday morning when I woke to find him asleep on the pillow between J and I, I wasn't sure I was going to let him into the bedroom at night, this morning I really missed it. I'm glad we found him.
