the first day

We didn't realise how tired we were until, after our drenching on Boston Harbour, we stopped at the hostel to change clothes and lay on our beds for a short moment.

First thing this morning we were very jet-lagged and stupid, but chipped up very quickly after we joined the bike-share scheme and took our lives in our hands to risk Boston traffic.

We didn't see many cyclists and most were also tourists, but they do have painted bike lanes so we only had to each out for buses stopping or the cars parked in our way.

Had dinner in a local "hole in the wall" as recommended by the local who we chatted to as we waited for the latest drenching shower to ease.

I was so wet I amused the locals by walking/swishing in every puddle I passed and i'm looking for suitable replies to, "you know what's stupid?"
