Reading this was timely.

I spent last night on the couch, playing solitaire on my pda. I was going to do stuff, but I kept thinking, "just one more game" until 10pm, when I went to bed and read.
I got up this morning and played, "just one more game" until 7.30. I am addicted.

About 10 years ago I played minesweeper until I got RSI.

At the moment I feel like I should indulge my depression until it goes away - lie in bed reading, playing solitaire, not eating. I'm off to get ready for work though.

There is one point in that article that annoys me.
The one that refers to the fact that women think about things too much and men are better at letting stuff go.
See, I would call this avoidance.
In my own experience I would agree that there are times when I think way too much about stuff and, yes, that is bad. But I also believe that half the time women get depressed about issues because men avoid them and behave in a dense and repressed manner, avoiding important decisions thus leaving it for the women to handle.
If women refuse to deal as well then everything falls apart for a really stupid and easy to fix reason.
THEN men get the luxury of criticism on the womens actions. The actions that they failed to take due to an innate inability to take responsibility. This seems to work across the board. From small issues like who leaves the toilet seat where, to who's fault that sordid affair was really!!!
This is a woman venting and dealing with her issues to avoid depression. and yes keeping busy helps, Ive been busier than I have been since studying and I'm happy. I was depressed while studying and busy because I had major issues with a man (see above).
*sigh* I really should stop thinking about this!!!!

I agree.

Men also have an amazing ability to drink themselves to death when perhaps a little healthy introspection would change things.
