When is is ok to recycle the cards you got with wedding gifts?

After you've received their thankyou card for your thankyou card for the wedding card and gift.

Not before.

Let me rephrase that:

After they've sent you a thankyou card for the thankyou card you sent them for the wedding card and gift that they sent you.

Clear?

If you want to be really sure, go another round of thankyou cards first. That's what I do.

This wedding etiquette thing...You're supposed to send thankyou cards?

I haven't done thankyou cards, does that mean I can never throw away the wedding cards?

Why yes, it's absolutely critical.

And in the event an Evil Bride fails to do the thankyou cards, etiquette obliges her to keep the wedding cards for the rest of her life, somewhere where she can see them everyday and where they must be moved in order to get something else(like on top of a pile of urgent bills), at least once a week.

Standards, my dear, standards!

Or you could cut them all up and use them as collage pieces for entirely new cards adding an extra 'hand made original art card' value to them!
