It's lunchtime at Myers and I'm in the '' Customer Lounge." It's almost empty!

when I was a child I would come to the 'city with my Oma and we would go to the Myer's Ladies lounge for a sit and a toilet stop. It would be crowded with old Ladies and mothers with children. there were couches (deep couches, not these fake narrow things I'm sitting on) in 4 rows and you had to be lucky to find enough empty seats together. This room is bare.
There are signs, in this customer lounge, asking you to refrain from sleeping. But that's what the Ladies Lounge is for!

I too have childhood memories of the Myer Ladies Lounge (as it used to be called). I suppose they can no longer have something gender specific like a Ladies Lounge any more.

where IS this lounge? I've never heard of it and now I feel like I'm missing out on an inner-city nap space! waaah!

Well it used to be on the First Floor of the Lonsdale Street Building, but don't know if that is still its location.

yep, still there.

Now in the lingerie section, but it used to be where all the fabric and knitting stuff was.

I went to the David Jones Ladies Lounge with my mum once, when I was a teenager.

Has anyone checked on that lately? I _think_ it was near the cafeteria.
