we're fine.

I spent the day in hospital yesterday to ensure access to a specialist asap.

It worked, I saw one yesterday and have an appointment with another one on Monday arvo.

Unfortunately, I can't find out if it's an ulcer or not until I'm out of the first trimester because I can't have the required drugs to have a gastroscopy.

Toady the symptoms seem to be under control, helped an enormous amount by [livejournal.com profile] sjkasabi's mum's chicken soup. I can eat almost as much of it as I like, without the awful bloating and pain I get with other food. It tastes fantastic too.

Glad that you are feeling a bit better. I did a huge panic before when i read in sj's lj that you were in hospital, so I'm very happy to see you posting!

I hope that they can calm your tummy down. There is a natural thing that you can try - slippery elm but I'm not 100% sure about its relationship with pregnancy. It helps to line the gut so you can eat without irritating it. It tastes horrid by itself but you can get it in a capsule form, but of course the horrid brown liquid that you mixup and drink while holding your nose is better...

Elm

Somewhere in my brain is the informtion that slippery elm was once used as ab abortifacient. I don't know if this is reliable info as I have no idea where I got it from( could be from a fantasy novel for all I can recall) but it could well be contra-indiacted!

Chicken soup is the closest we've come to a sovereign specific to date. Glad to hear it's helping.
