This stomach thing is mostly under control, but I can't make myself drink enough water/liquid during the day. I have the symptoms mostly under control, but liquid just send the whole thing upside down and my stomach hurts when ever I drink a mouthful or two, so I'm not inclined to.

So I wake up during the night and have to make myself sick drinking two glasses of fruit juice and water (plain water makes me puke) so I can go back to sleep without the dehydration headache. On the bright side, I'm not suffering from that classic pregnancy problem - weeing for two.

In other news, the Gastroscopy is a goer, I'm just waiting for a date from the hospital. I will ring and hassle the specialist later today, if I don't hear from her first.

Possibly an inappropiate post to comment in, but any idea when you'll be feeling well enough to visit uni? I'm getting so many people harassing me about cloaks it's not funny! (You are a genius and have fantastic ideas!)

It just has to be before the 30th of May, because after then it's swot vac.
I'll talk to you more about it at bash. :)

It's looking like Tuesday 17th May is it then - my next RDO is on 3 May, which is probably too soon.

See comment above for the other good reason

Just wondering about your sensitive tummy- are warm drinks, like tea okay? I'm only asking because I've got the fairly standard mild nausea of the first day of my period, and teas of different kinds are what seem to suit it best. Green tea, peppermint or dilute chamomile sound like possibilities to explore. Nothing with hybiscus or rosehip in it though.

Warm drinks are NOT ok. Although I haven't tried green or chamomile lately - I think they're yuk. Mostly, I have a sip and then find I can't face drinking anymore.

Interestingly, I was thinking about trying "sticky" tea - IIRC that's rosehip and hibiscus - is that bad for pregnant people?

Today, I've tried to drink whenever I get the "hungry" message, I've managed 2 whole glasses since breakfast!

I don't think it's so much that rosehip or hybiscus would be bad for pregnant people- although it would be good to check- but that a number of people I know, including me, have had a violently emetic experience from "lemon refresher" and "lemon zinger" teas, one from Liptons and the other from Celestial Seasonings. I've never thrown up more easily in my life- and both had those particular ingredients.
Most of the time though, I really enjoy them and they're every bit as refreshing and zingy as advertised!

The gastroscopy will be on Monday morning.

I have my RDO on Tuesday, so I'll have time to recover.

Good, at least then you'll know what's going on, even if they can't treat it until after baby brown arrives.
