testing my new client
Jul. 12th, 2005 09:17 pmSitting around, waiting for
mr_bassman to feel up to working on Dad's tarpaulin. I've downloaded a newer version of semagic.
It appears to have the ability to use tags, although it calls them keywords - we'll see when I post.
I went to the physio today. I have to ice my pubic bone and coccyx 3-4 times a day for the next few days and then at least once a day, even if they don't hurt. I'm still trying to work out how to ice my pubic bone at work, without seeming like a huge tworp, or telling my workmates more than they want to know.
The good news is that I can use a bicycle to get around, where I would normally walk - so I can ride to the supermarket etc.
The interesting news is that one of the women in the waiting room while I was there was asked by her physio how she was going. When she replied, "not very well, I stayed in bed all weekend, but it hasn't seemed to help" the physio immediately told her, in that booming voice some knowledgeable women have, "I think that you need to spend a week on crutches" and proceeded to give her a lesson in how to use the crutches, for the benefit of us all.
I was dead impressed. I wish I'd known about crutches 12 years ago when I couldn't walk further than 50m because of the pain. Knowing about the ice and a dupport belt would have been good too.
Hey, I managed to get my room tidier, my hair cut, my pilates and physio attended, some time on the couch reading AND a nap. The only things I didn't get done were; some sewing, some feast organisation and something cool with Z. I couldn't do anything cool with Z - he nicked off to see a movie with a friend and sleepover. Bastard!
I'm thinking I need an icon for pregnancy -
mr_bassman suggested the photo I had taken on the weekend.
doushkasmum can you load it onto the A photogallery?

Date: 2005-07-12 01:21 pm (UTC)I've tried to download the new Semagic too. Am now getting a new error and finding that the suggested fixes don't seem to be working (unless I have a proxy server without knowing about it, which is quite possible, really).
Am going to sort it Later.
Thanks
Date: 2005-07-12 09:32 pm (UTC)I'm sitting here at the computer, eating my breakfast with a small packet of frozen corn between my legs and my own blue thingy at my back.
It's surprisingly unrelaxing.
I think I give up on icing my pubes (now there's an image) at work, although I did say I need a new icon. Maybe I'll Gimp a pube cake at lunchtime instead.
