The problem with being a geek mother

The nature of mothers is to provide what their children need, when they need it.
I'm engrossed in solving this stupid hard disk problem. I DON"T CARE that Z can't find his bag, has gone completely pathetic, can't manage to sort out lunch or get himself to school.
But now I feel guilty because he's stormed out the door after I yelled and went off (interrupting my geek research) to make his lunch, pack his bag and then throw him out the door.
It's MY RDO and it's 9.45am fer chrissake. I should have been off duty as a mother at 8.30am.
