I'm over reading the internet, I'm sick of making bread and cleaning the kitchen, I don't want to spend any more time resting and it was a mistake to put on a nighty today instead of getting dressed like a real person.

I'm really tired of obsessing about labour - "is that a contraction?" "is that my waters breaking?", "Is that a show?".

I want to do other stuff, but everything I think of doing requires that I have the ability to bend in the middle, and walk, and step around the crap in my house to collect the necessary stuff.

I spent the morning reading birth stories - they're a bit wacko, naturopathic and anti medical intervention, but they're getting me in the mood

These midwife archives, with info for midwives and homebirthers are more my style and have some good suggestions on natural induction.

Spent the evening at the scrabble game, just to get out of the house. I'm crap at scrabble, and when I'm tired my care factor goes down to , "can I put down 2 tiles?". I should have just spent the evening being the air headed pregnant wifey and watching [livejournal.com profile] mr_bassman sweep the board with words like "inquire", "rajah" and " include".

And my current theory on why I'm feeling so crap, and slept so badly last night is... the minor hayfever I get infrequently enough that I don't realise I have it until my friends are talking about knitting needles and their sinuses.

But apart from being crappy and boring and all that, isn't it exciting too? Hell; I got all excited today when I saw a full-blown belly in the street on my way home from hospital, but that might just be my biological clock ticking too loudly these days after a visit from a toddler on the weekend...

I'm not jealous of the back-pain, labour and all that, but you're going to have a baby!!! Please let me know if you decide to give it away to a random internerd; I'll throw my flatmate out in a second and make the bedroom into a nursery!

Thankyou for the reality check and smile.

It made going to bed last night a little easier.

can't believe I missed you at scrabble... was invited out to a play... but I gather the Internet silence means you have indeed finally gone into labour so here's hoping all has gone well and we'll soon see photographic evidence!

No, no labour yet.

And, based on the days I'm NOT allowed to go into labour - for other people's convenience, Rosie will be born on Monday or Thursday.
