rosefox for sending me to read this article about making stuff
and thanksvassalissa for the link to a rant about gender and sexism. I've sent it off to my 17 year old son, who sometimes echoes his Dad a little too much. Perhaps, put like that, he'll rethink some of the things he says he believes in. Here's hoping.
Rose news;
I think I'm getting the hang of her. She slept most of the night last night - I think I fed her once and we didn't have the up and down and cry between 12 mid and 2am routine we've had for the past week. I think its because I dragged her in and out of the car about 10 times yesterday afternoon, gave her a bath at 8.30pm (in the new laundry trough!) and learnt that she regularly wriggles, vocalises and cries in her sleep and will fall back into a deep sleep if I just leave her alone.
I had another look at the birth pictures yesterday. She's already changed!

And please keep us infomred on the Rose front. So many friends are having beautiful, unsquishy babies (does no one's new born look loike someone steam pressed their face any more?) that I'm definately broody! Need any baby knitting? I'm stocking up slightly faster than I remember to post them to friends. I know, summer is not the best time, but I can knit for size six months, nine months...
