What Muppet are you?

Found out today that I DID tear my calf muscle at netball a year ago and yes, I should have seen a physio earlier. so today he had to break the bad scar tissue so I can heal properly. Yes, it hurt.

Having it identified as a physical thing I need to take account of led to some other realisations on the way home - I gave up netball because it hurt my calf; I haven't really enjoyed bushwalking and I've been in minor pain/discomfort for a couple of days every 6 weeks or so. Bloody silly stoic I am!

i had an interesting time in the kitchen at William Marshall. As is usual for me, I went for it first thing, started vagueing out and having to be told to do stuff in the arvo, and by 6pm I got really selfish and only did stuff I was interested in doing - so I didn't do any dishes and mostly stood around, chatting...

That's interesting... that was going to be a rave about how little I did on Sat night, but it's not true. I served up food onto platters, collected used dishes, emptied food off dishes, found people, worried about organisation, drank alcohol, praised cooks, thought about the way I'd like to see waste managed at a feast and worried about the fact that L washed dishes for too long but i couldn't do anything about it because I wasn't willing to wash them myself. That guilt is, I think, the reason I told myself I didn't do anything. Hmmm.

I think the experience was a good step on my goal to organise a whole kitchen and crew. I really enjoyed watching Cathy. She radiated "I know what I'm doing", it was cool.

btw, LJ is not the same when my kids, mother and husband ask questions, demand goodnight kisses, talk about their day, while I try to think.

It's amazing how much difference a diagnosis can make sometimes isn't it?

Good to hear about WM, glad you enjoyed it. Would eating and drinking more help avoid vagueing? I find it amazingly easy to forget to do that when I'm surrounded by food I'm cooking.
