A Rose report
Nov. 14th, 2005 10:48 pmRose turned into a baby today.
She's stopped being a creature who cries and drinks and requires nappy changing and has become a person who lies on the floor looking around at the world, or sitting up in my lap, looking around at the world.
She's just had her first crying free bath and
mr_bassman appears to be loving it. He oiled her into an oily thing to combat her scaly skin, and now he's singing silly songs and talking to her. Until now he's just been handed her when I'm sick of her, so he's mostly had her in upset mode.
G still hasn't managed to hold herfor longer than 2 min though. That's tomorrow's project.

Date: 2005-11-14 10:18 pm (UTC)Hey, I'm about to have a month off work, and will probably be doing rampant Festival tent production. Was it you who had the design for those little soldier's puptents that were at your household encampment last festival?
Cheers

Date: 2005-11-14 11:19 pm (UTC)Here is a pdf of the pattern
I think it's at a scale of 1:20 when printed on A3 paper (sorry about that, my pdf printer is playing up) and the finished height of the tents is about 1500mm.
We found that it worked better if the triangles at the ends were just one piece and then we cut them to a curve of best fit. The lines shown then indicate where we put leather grommets. The body of the tent was one and a third widths of canvas wide, because we made three of them, but they can be as long as you want.
