I refuse to read the internet until I've written this down.

Here's what I want to do in the next little while:

Make some interesting clothes for work.
Go shopping for clothes for work - sjkasabi?
Write up the feedback/commentary for the food organisation at SE
Work out a way to list the stuff we want to do at the farm and work out what we want to do first.  So many things! So little time/energy/money!
Attend to my mental health - get some "me" time, do stuff just for me and nobody else.  Maybe I'll go away for a day or two.
Take Rose swimming most days.

And some other stuff.

I really like this dress

ghirlandaio

It's worth reading the blurb, because it means that I know there is a full length version

This looks like something I should put on my list of things to do

Based on their latest list of locations, I could probably attend on;

Saturday mornings at 10.30am at Edinburgh Gardens North Fitzroy

Wednesday evenings at 6 pm, Jika Jika Centre, cnr. Plant & Union Streets. Northcote

6pm Thursday at St John's Church Hall, Cnr Melville Rd & Victoria St, West Brunswick

My brain's response also said, "what do I have to do so I can start one of my own, closer to home?"

but I slapped it.

The stuff I need to do this week;

give notice to the storage place
make 3 hoods of warmth, including an infant one
make a loft bed for MsNotaGoth (so tempted by an Ikea bought option, but so don't have the money)
empty my desk and move it to MsNotaGoth's room
Move the desk from the back verandah to the study
take photos of the Ford, so I can...
Put an ad in one of the online car sales places
book for Festival
tell stewards how much space we need to camp in (very late!!)
Lie on the couch a bit more writing drivel and checking my email and friends page obsessively

The stuff I need to do next week;

move the beds from my house to my mum's new apartment
the stuff I didn't do last week
make something for LardFest (optional)
Start design for cupboard in study to store stuff from the storage unit
Transfer ownership of our new car
clean up my bedroom
bottle mead
start beer brew

Stuff I need to write down so it's out of my head and I can stop obsessing about it;

I need new clothes, mainly tshirts, tops for work, shorts for riding to work in, maybe a skirt or two.
I need to remake sleeves for my 15thC cotehardies
I need better headdress arrangements
I think we need to start thinking about new coronets, I lost another pearl on the weekend and being stood on wasn't good for it either.  It would be good to have them for the 20th baronial birthday, but we need to get started on designing them.  BTW I should sort out a steward for that event, or at least a venue.
I need to consult with [livejournal.com profile] montjoye about sewing rabbit fur onto the houppelande/coat I have planned for Festival
One of these days I'll make the time to draw up the house plans I think I'm almost happy to go ahead with, but not before Festival and not in the three months after Festival 'cos I always collapse in a heap then and then the weathers miserable, and then it's my 40th birthday and then it will be the silly season and then it will be the three months before Festival when I get heaps done, but not stuff I don't need for Festival...
I'd like Rose to have her own bed for Festival, one that can be pushed under our bed during the day

I think that's all of the thoughts that have been swirling in my head lately.  I think I can do at least 3 of the things on my first list this evening, so I'l start!

I think I'm glum. I'm snappy and miserable and I can't be bothered.

OTOH, Can you be glum when your brain is bouncing with the list of all the things you want to do? Unfortunately, many of them require more funding than is or will be available in the short to medium term.

In the interests of getting it out of my brain and into the public domain;

- get an electrician to finish off the laundry (finances constrain this)
- buy a new washing machine to replace the dead one. This is now urgent, despite our lack of finances those nappies keep coming. Should we get a front loader, for those virtuous environmental reasons, or a top loader that is mechanically simpler and I can dye fabric in?
- buy a drier. This is not so urgent but probably a good idea when buying a washing machine.
- start invest costuming for me and ladies in waiting. This might have to wait until after our trip to Canberra in two weeks, aaargh!
- motivate other invest types to get stuff done and planned. Mostly to make me feel better.
- make a pouch for Z to replace the one I talked him into, that he didn't like. Maybe I can do this tonight, if we have appropriate leather and I'm not out shopping for a washing machine and I'm not feeling so glum that I just sit on the couch.
- revamp the storage in my bathroom. This is a good project for Saturday, when I don't currently have a social engagement.
- I'm also inclined to move the renovation plan further along, but I'm sure I'll get better soon.

I now have 3 glorious days to fritter away doing stuff on the following lists. The things I could do today are green, the stuff I was going to do yesterday are purple

  • proof soldiers tents
  • cut out big tent
  • spend a day sewing the big tent
  • work out what I'm going to do about clothes for festival - I've been feeling frumpy lately
  • work out layout of our tentage and book for festival
  • Book Binka into a kennel
  • secret project

  • get the 2 books on the booklist we weren't able to get
  • Shop for a guitar for Z
  • be home at 3.30 to greet children returning from their first day of school
  • Nag G to complete the things he said he wants to do (I'm his mother, it's my job
Renovating

Stuff for me
  • shop for work clothes
  • Buy the 2 Kerry Greenwood novels people have been talking about and read them
  • design and make some clothes for work

In other news, Max is back - again. We heard the miouw at 12.30 last night, after G and I had a conversation about how rejected we felt that we weren't the sort of place that could keep a cat (Max is our third). He's a maniac, all three bedrooms have stories of being kept awake for the 2 hours between 5am and 7am. We've also given up on him being an inside cat. If we give him open access to outside we figure maybe he can work out how to come inside again within 24 hours. It seems to be working.
