So you've heard about how I haven't gotten anything done lately. It's OK though, I remembered a few days ago that I warned everyone months ago that I wouldn't be up for organising or doing much for at least six weeks after Rosie was born.

Well, it's only been 4 weeks and it appears that I've started organising peoples lives again. Now I just have to progress to cleaning up my loungeroom - as soon as I've caught up on a bit more sleep.

Stomach update - I had another attack last night, which came good about 4-5 hours later. I don't know whether it was the continuous liquied gaviscon I took or just a matter of time. Anyway, I've started taking the rinitadine (stops acid production) again. I guess if I get another attack, we can rule out acid as the cause.

Z managed to go so slowly getting ready for school this morning that by the time he was anywhere near ready it was 11.30am - I can't see the point in going when you're that late, so he's home for the second day running. I'm investigating alternative schools for him - anywhere that you avoid as frequently as he has lately is probably a place you should seriously look at leaving permanently. I think there are no boys in his class that he really clicks with, and certainly he describes spending a lot of his time helping other people when he's already finished the work.

could the stomach thing be gall stones? everything you describe (including attacks resulting in such severe pain they necessitated trips to emergency) sounds exactly like when i had my gall stones. which were so small they had been missed on all the non-specific tests.

Yes, it could be gallstones.

I'm off to my GP tomorrow and expect to have another ultrasound. I had one just before easter and they didn't find anything though.
